Because of an idea, EKY Heritage Foundation, Inc. has been able to accomplish great things. Namely, receiving a $3.5 million AMLER Grant to assist in building the Thunder Mountain complex. Since that initial grant, we have grown to lead several other projects.

Foresight to build a more diverse economy centered around our natural assets in building tourism assets to be enjoyed by all. That is the founding principle of EKY Heritage Foundation. Started as an idea and project to enhance tourism in Letcher County, Thunder Mountain Shooting Reserve was the first project EKY Heritage Foundation embarked on.
