It was a meme. Edge transmit dropped at rates not intended and that's basically what you would get most of the time out of power or prime engrams. They fixed the drop rate, so it's all good now but it was a good meme while it lasted.

Secondary perk, 'Nepotism': Using one shot, multikills of 3 or more with Edge Transit radically increase chance of heavy ammo drops, multikills of 7+ guarantee a drop. Catalyst, 'Jolly good fellow': Picking up Heavy ammo with Edge Transit has a good chance of sharing it with teammates standing close by.

Jun 22, 2021 · Sounds fine on paper, but at the time the only power weapon in the world drop pool was the Edge Transit grenade launcher. So on average 1 out of every 3 weapons you got was Edge Transit until the added some other power weapons to the pool and eventually changed the process of rolling drops all together.

Say what you will, the Edge Transit, short as its life may have been has touched all of us in some way or another. As such, i believe it only right for Bungie to make an Exotic Edge Transit.

Edge Transit Royale. Everyone starts with an Edge Transit. Last person standing keeps their Edge Transit. Finishing top 10 has a small chance to find an exotic Edge Transit. It shoots Edge Transits that explode.
