Mar 13, 2018 · Edalyn "Eda" Clawthorne is the deuteragonist of The Owl House. She is Luz's mentor and King's adoptive mother. She ran away from home when she was a teenager after being cursed by her older sister Lilith, a curse which causes her to turn into the owl beast.

This curse entity is associated with Eda Clawthorne and Lilith Clawthorne. It has featured in episodes such as 'Keeping up A-fear-ances' and 'For the Future'. The Owl Beast is characterized by its owl-like form and the power to transform its victims into a similar monstrous creature.

Curse: According to Eda, she was cursed as a pre-teen and had no memory of who did it or how it happened until it was revealed in "Agony of a Witch" that it was her sister who did it. As a consequence, she must regularly consume a golden elixir to keep it at bay.

Aug 21, 2020 · The curse seems to be that she's turns into a monstrous owl like creature both physically and mentally. She takes her elixirs to deal with it, but its getting worse and their getting less effective. Eventually the transformation will be permanent and whilst she's technically still alive, in every meaningful sense Eda will be dead.

She is a notorious witch outlaw from the Boiling Isles and the owner of the titular Owl House who is on the run from Emperor Belos and his subordinates. She was cursed by her older sister, Lilith, to transform into the ancient Owl Beast via a scroll made by the Grand Huntsman, although she managed to harness this form and become a harpy.

But now in season 2, Eda and Lilith are dealing with a curse that has shifted. They both share it, but they have to relearn magic.
