Spectral Cards are a form of consumable you can obtain during a run. Spectral Cards are similar to Tarot Cards in the sense that they generally modify the playing cards in the deck as well, though to a much greater extent than Tarot Cards.

Mar 24, 2024 · ectoplasm should reduce your size hand by 1 each time, but the second extoplasme reduce your hand by 2 not 1 and the third is 3. i had no idea it increased like this. it sounds like it's done to make it a non-linear stronger penalty, which makes it definitely seem intentional. Mar 22, 2024 · ectoplasm (and other "edition" giving effects) only works on jokers that already don't have an edition. Your single joker has polychrome so it won't do anything so the dev made it so it can't be played. A card can have only one edition. That's my guess.

Mar 30, 2024 · We used to eat Gros Michel bananas but they were not resillient and most of them died out due to a fungal outbreak in the 50s. We then switched to the much more resillient Cavendish. The Cavendish joker unlocks after destroying Gros Michel, and it only has a 1/1000 chance to be destroyed instead of 1/4.

Mar 26, 2024 · Someone linked a youtube channel called "Balatro University", in the video he stated that things like Wheel of Fortune, Ectoplasm, etc. (things that buff a random joker), apparently it is a 50/50 chance of being applied to either your newest, or oldest joker. Can anyone confirm if this is true?
