Nov 22, 2018 · Following. I have been experiencing similar symptoms. Sharp pain in left ear lasting a minute or two, like something sharp and solid moved in there. Feelings of fullness, congestion, ringing and loud sounds echoing. I do have allergies and it’s pollen season, but this has been happening off and on since last July when I got a bad head cold.

Jan 1, 2024 · I suddenly developed echoing in right ear almost 3 weeks back ENT put me on steroids , while tapering off the echoing came back and now am back on another course of steroids , Ent has ordered MRI for the ear . Please advice , is MRI the best route to find out more What can I expect ? Very anxious

Mar 17, 2021 · Google SSNHL and see if that fits. If it does fit and if you do have SSNHL, you need steroids immediately and it is an ENT emergency, although many miss it. Even go to the emergency room if an ENT won't see you. The echo sound, for me, went away after also losing hearing over night, and after steroid injections into the ear,. I do have SSNHL.

Nov 21, 2023 · I had a 15 minute MRI yesterday and experienced very noticeable hearing loss afterwards. (I already wear hearing aids for congenital bilateral hearing loss.). My ears feel “full” and sound is muffled. I did wear ear plugs and have had MRI before without this happening.
