Jun 15, 2006 · The Eaton M45 has a capacity of .75L per rev.(according to the Eaton website)and maximum a speed of 14000rpm. Would this be big enough to create a reasonable amount of boost for a 1.8 litre engine ?

Apr 12, 2002 · Boost is not linear, even for a roots blower. Just like your engine, a blower has a volumetric efficiency. If an Eaton M45 tries to pump 45 cubic inches of compressed air into an enclosed space, the air will resist being compressed, and try to flow toward a zone of less pressure, the zone of least pressure in fact.

May 27, 2008 · as i was thinking of doing an eaton m45 conversion at 5 psi. i would leave my pistons alone. i gather tre lower the fuel compresion origionaly the higher you can set you psi.
