The 4G63T for Evo IX is the most modern and advanced engine of all 4G63 2.0l turbo engines. The engine was equipped with Mitsubishi's variable valve timing MIVEC for the intake, two-piece rings, extended reach spark plugs and the TD05HRA-16G6C-10.5T turbocharger.

There were two main families of 4g63 engine. The early model 6-bolt engine, and the later model 7 bolt engine. But within those two families there were even more variations. This document will outline the differences you need to know when selecting parts and building your engine.

Dec 17, 2003 · Close to 400whp with cams and race gas on a 16g!!! which is quite amazing, while still retaining the stock MAF and ecu, just a S-AFC. I know you cant compare their 16g to ours, much bigger exhaust housing and twin scroll. but still its quite impressive.
