Dec 10, 2024 · The fix is in your description of the problem, you have an issue with the brake light switch. Thats why the ESC light is on and thats why it wont come out of park. If all the wires around the switch look OK, the easiest thing to do would be to just replace the switch..its cheap and will probably take care of your issue.

It went off after I restarted car and was fine. It did it in the same spot on highway the week after, after not doing it at all during the week.

One controlled by the switch on the dash which says "off" under the picture of the jeep with skid marks under it (signifying that the ESC system was manually disabled) and another identical looking light but the word "off" is not displayed under it. May 3, 2018 · The ESC light came ON and will not go out. This is not the ESC OFF light. Pushing the ESC Off button has no effect. The brake lights do illuminate when I press the brakes. I also cannot put the car into 4WD Low. I have tried rolling it in Neutral. The system does not even try to go into 4WD Low. Like the 4WD Low button does nothing.

Nov 17, 2020 · Noticed the ESC light on, and only this light. Along with the light, the speed control wasn't setting, but the cruise control engage button DOES work. So it will say it's engaged, but won't set. Also, when U-turning, the ESC light will flicker, power will reduce, and ultimately go away once straightening out. ABS light does NOT come on at any time.
