Let's talk ES-335s....Satin vs Gloss - The Gear Page
Mar 11, 2020 · Probably an unpopular opinion...but i owned both an ES-333 (satin), and ES-335 (flamey, gloss). I personally love the look and feel of satin, and to be perfectly honest the ES-333 killed the 335 in both playability and sound after i got rid of the 490 series pickups. One of my biggest sales regrets was getting rid of that 333, it was amazing.

ES335 or Epiphone Casino suggestions - The Gear Page
Jul 13, 2019 · I've been GASing for a ES-335 for a while. I have a love/hate relationship with P-90s. My SG Classic is fantastic (and light!), but I had a Casino that was just OK. Great guitars for the money, but I really humbuckers in my next guitar. And I just love the sound of 33ts. The sway of the 330 vs 335 is definitely the light weight. My solution is ...

Questions for all you ES-335 owners - The Gear Page
Jul 16, 2010 · I just acquired a 1983 ES-335 Dot CMT and really, really like the mojo of this guitar. However, I have an issue. When I strap it on, the position of the neck strap pin causes the guitar body to flop forward, making it very difficult to see the fretboard. I …
Whats "The Scoop" on 70's Gibson 335's with Coil Tapping?
Apr 28, 2008 · So I played one of the coolest guitars this weekend - it was a 1976 ES-335 TD with coil tapping. The guitar had such a wide range of sounds - the neck was great (not too small like a 73 I also tried). The coil tap made the thing just have so much spank - …
Collings I-35 vs. ES-335? - The Gear Page
Jul 4, 2019 · The ES-335 is already on the list because it's an ES-335 I don't have a place where I can try out both brands of guitars - in fact the closest Collings I-35 that I know of is 3 hours south of me. I don't mind driving down there to try it out but before I do I'm curious what the hive mind says - which is the better "rock" semi-hollow guitar?

Aug 9, 2007 · I don't know if I'm going to get crucified for saying this but I have a Tokai ES-335 clone that is completely awesome and was dirt cheap. I think it's Korean made but I'm not sure because it doesn't say anywhere on it. $400 Canadian brand new, it even has grover tuners and a bigsby style tremolo.
Gretsch 6120 vs Gibson ES335 - The Gear Page
Apr 28, 2011 · Boy, that is a tough one. The two are just utterly different apart from scale length. I love both. Based on my experience, the 335 is much better for high gain / very loud stage volume situations. But since that's not a concern
ES 335 guys- where do you like your action? - The Gear Page
Dec 12, 2014 · I have been playing around with my 335s . I have been playing them at just a touch above 4/64 ths with about .010 relief . This has been fine ,but I tried to set one down as low as I could get. I got about 3/64ths with no buzzing and it plays like butter with nice sustain. Just wonder where you...
