The locomotive worked for the last 20 years moving hopper cars around an industrial facility. It is not known when the locomotive last operated or what condition the prime mover is in.

As of November 2021, Lakewood Red Car has obtained ownership of this locomotive (EMD G8 208-1 )and has plans.
