Located near the Dornoch Firth, this beautiful and clean sandy beach has free parking and facilities that include toilets with shops nearby. A network of paths will take you through the sand dunes where you can spot the local wildlife and take in the fantastic views.

A beautiful beach in the north of Scotland about an hour north of Inverness just off the A9/NC500. Gently sloping beach with nice clean sand.

The Beach Anchor. There is a large ship anchor embedded in the beach on the east side of Embo beach from a shipwreck in 1876. It's fun to watch the changes in tide from the caravan at different times of day, with high tide completely submerging the anchor underwater. It made a good subject for a photo with Olivia and Lauren.

Embo Beach is one of the best beaches in Embo, long and relatively uncrowded. The water is crystal clear, making this place ideal to enjoy swimming. The beach is very clean. Located just 0.3 km away from the centre of Embo.

This broad beach of golden sand stretches from the attractive former fishing village of Embo to the mouth of the River Fleet, and its whole length is flanked by high sand dunes. Fine yellow sand and crystal clear water make this an ideal beach for a visit with the family or a long romantic stroll.

Perfect to shelter from a westerly wind, Embo beach is enjoyed by families throughout the year. From the shore you can often spot seals heading towards the sandbanks of Loch Fleet, with dolphins, porpoises and even whales also spied in the waves.

The vast expanse of clean, golden sands makes Embo Beach a good destination for families and walkers. Finding the access to the beach can be tricky. Park in the car park in the north-east corner of the former fishing village of Embo.
