EF806S is a substitution for the EF86. It is a 9-pin pentode often used in microphones and in some amplifier designs can also be used on pre-amplifying stages.

Its quieter than most of our NOS EF86's. The construction is almost identical to the Telefunken EF86 and it has the same sweet open sound! All our preamp tubes are stringently tested for noise and microphonics using Amplitrex testers driving an external amp.
