Dec 26, 2020 · The grip size on the X9 is the same grip size as the X9L. They are identical. Both are considered compact grip sizes. A magwell can be added, however in order to do so, the grip (frame) needs to be slightly shortened before the magwell is added. Your pinky finger will be riding on the hump of a magwell model.

May 3, 2021 · The X9L, being double stack, would be out of my consideration, leaving a CQB full size, Commander, or Professional - or the EDC 9 with the lightweight frame and the tri-top taking some carry weight off from the other models. If there are LW frame models available to you in California, you might consider those.

Mar 4, 2021 · I have been trying and have had zero luck with my Experior double stack commander. If you want a holster for the X9L, JM Custom Kydex makes a nice holster for the X9L. I have one of their holsters for my X9 and it’s been great.
