JETs Vol. 25-12: NASA E-7 Supersonic STOVL Fighter
JETs Vol. 25-12 has been cut from the FULL SCALE wind tunnel model of an aircraft developed in part by General Dynamics and NASA – the E-7 Supersonic STOVL Fighter. The E-7, which borrowed design cues from the F-16, used thrust ejector nozzles to divert exhaust gas downward for vertical thrust/flight, and was tested in the Ames 40 x 80’ tunnel.
Configuration E-7 Supersonic STOVL Fighter/Attack Technology Program
The program convering the design and early technology development of Configuration E-7, a supersonic STOVL Fighter/Attack aircraft is described. This aircraft uses the ejector principle to augment engine fan air for vertical lift.

Mar 18, 2015 · The program covering the design and early technology development of Configuration E-7, a supersonic STOVL Fighter/Attack aircraft is described. This aircraft uses the ejector principle to augment engine fan air for vertical lift.
Parametric study of supersonic STOVL flight characteristics
Analysis was based on a rigid-body mathematical model of the General Dynamics E-7, a single engine configuration that utilizes ejectors and thrust deflection for propulsive lift.
General Dynamics E-3/E-5/E-7 VSTOL Fighters - Secret Projects …
Dec 27, 2005 · The E-7 VTOL concept relied on a thrust deflector at the rear and Thrust Augmented Ejectors near the front. Air was diverted from the rear of the engine to the front via a long pipe and ejected down - balancing the thrust deflected at the rear. Looks like a lot of interesting stuff in them - I just haven't had time for more than a quick browse.
