Mar 7, 2014 · I have the idea to buy and put a B58 turbo on the m50b25. A few things, the exhaust manifold of these turbines is directly cast with the turbo, but it is not cast iron, it is stainless steel maybe (magnet does not catch it). I don't have a turbo for testing.

Jun 25, 2022 · These b motors are strong but overly complex in areas that are not needed on the track. The n52 is cheaper, more reliable, possibly lighter, and has alot more potential n/a then the m54. Might be a good stepping stone for a b series swap if you ultimately deem that to be better.

What about the other items (clutch, flywheel, clutch fork, bearings). Any chance you might be willing to part with them? Based in Miami. I have an almost comprehensive 420g swap I compiled for the E36 I no longer have.

May 25, 2023 · Yes it’s possible, there’s a Facebook group called b58 swapped e46’s and there’s a few guys showing their progress and updates in the group. Very interesting swap since there is no can bus communication anymore. There’s a lot more involved than just making it all fit.

If anybody has, any recommendations on who to go with? Curious if jb4 also has any maps that could be used with a non stock turbo. Any info on the subject would be appreciated. Thanks!
