The E30 325iX model was the first BMW to have all-wheel drive. The first BMW M3 model was built on the E30 platform and was powered by the high-revving BMW S14 four-cylinder petrol engine. The BMW Z1 roadster was also based on the E30 platform.

Use E36 325i driveshaft, stock E30 crossmember, stock E30 mounts. This gearbox is was used for 4-cylinder engines, therefore it has a lower torque rating than the other transmissions. Opinions vary regarding its ability to handle additional torque.

Feb 25, 2017 · First of all you have totally wrong ecu. M52 uses siemens ms41 and not -413 bosch motronic. And you can use those e36 wiring guides. But the e39 harness doesn't have x20 connector so you have to use only the eire colors. Last edited by Slay89; 02-25-2017, 04:32 AM.

Feb 22, 2014 · I'm trying to decide between an E30 325i or 325ix. There's also the 525i, which is gorgeous. I want this car to be my daily driver, so AWD would be pretty important to me (and I don't think the 525 was available with that -- correct me if I'm wrong?)

Aug 20, 2013 · Best is to get M54 from 2001/2002 530i or X5, they will be less abused and engine harness will be long enough for the DME to fit above the glove box in E30. If you get one from 330ci/I then you will have to get engine harness from 5 series.
