The "A" represents roughly the pear shape of the envelope, and the 19 is the diameter of the envelope in 1/8ths of an inch. Feb 22, 2013 · So I have replaced every incandescent in my mother's house with LED's, aside from these pesky HR16 E26/E27 35W Halogens in a 12 year-old stove hood. Apparently they burn out all the time. I see LED equivalents for various halogens like MR16 and PAR20, GU10, etc- will any of these be compatible with HR16 E26/27?

60W 960 lumen E26/A19 bulb with internal halogen bulb, for one of the few places I still use incans in the house. As for the DX LED bulb, in the absence of any fade test, would treat it like a Lights of America self-dimming showerhead bulb. Sort of like self-flattening tires or self-splitting pants. There is nothing to suggest anything different.

Oct 27, 2007 · Informative. I need to remember m59 means pulse, and m155 means probe. Are these random denominations, or does m and the number stand for anything? ... Then there is e27 and e38, large envelope v. small. (I assume larger means it runs cooler.) Googling, so far, I see this bulb coming in frosted, clear, and shatter proof.

The ballast is a Maxlite SKE70D and list that the following can be used: E2C65 (1amp/68watt), F2D55/GRY10q-3 (0.92amp/58watt), and E2C40 HO (0.88amp/55watt).

The Microbrite cfl (called cold cathode tube) runs cool enough so you can easily touch it without getting burned. I agree with jtr about the 5 watt led limit on the edison base without active cooling.

Jan 16, 2015 · The bulb shield isn't enough by itself to prevent glare from a H9. Virgil has explained this quite a few times in past posts, which is why H9 is not usually recommended for reflector lamps. The default answer should always be a high-performance H11 UNLESS there is known test data of a particular lamp in question.
