Nov 11, 2005 · I'm looking at purchasing an e28 M5 and have spoken to several insurance companies here in Canada regarding rates. That seems super excessive. They point out, however, that this is due to the rarity of the car. Given that a large number of parts are interchangeable with regular e28's, I find their argument difficult to comprehend.
