Oct 23, 2021 · Replacing glow plugs is one of the easier maint items to DIY. After you remove the fender liner to get to the glow plugs, at least replace the four on that side. And make sure you have extra nylon rivets, as at least one will break when you remove them. And my experience has been that if one glow plug fails, others will soon follow.

Dec 8, 2023 · 89,000 miles on the truck. Which means it made it about 19,000 miles longer then on my 2012 LML which had the glow plugs start failing around 70,000 miles. And because I know weak batteries can speed up glow plug failure, I did put in 2 new batteries early this year.
