Apr 15, 2016 · You will definately want to let the caked material soften with water before making any attempt to remove it. If it is stuck hard in the nostril like a plug you could do tissue damage trying to pry it loose. Encourage the duck to splash its bill in water as much as possible and it should soften up and work its way loose.

Nov 14, 2018 · Checked him out and the inside of his nose was bloody too. Also couldn't see through to the other side like normally. Went out and took pictures a little later, and he had already washed the blood off his bill but still had blood and looked blocked up in his nose. Took the best pictures I could to try and help.

Apr 11, 2021 · If it does turn out to be mycoplasma/penumonia (and even if it isn’t and your duck is just more sensitive to cold weather), she will greatly benefit from bringing her inside the house. As for what antibiotic worked best, that was Doxycycline. Hope any of this helps and most importantly, hope your duck turns out to be WELL.

May 30, 2018 · My 8 week old Pekin duck is molting the last of her duckling fuzz and feathers. Over night while my ducks are in the coop, they breathe in these fuzzies and it is getting caught in their nistrils and on their bills. Sometimes they harden into their bills.
