Unlike Alatreon, Fatalis doesn't force you to use element. If you're using DB or Bow then go for Dragon but for all other weapons you can use your standard Blast set, however, he only has 1 star weakness to all status ailments.

Feb 16, 2023 · For Fatalis in particular you want to attack the head as much as possible and that has insane raw hitzones (iirc around 80?), so raw damage increases scale up very nicely while the ele hitzone is just alright.

My build against Fatalis has 20 fire resistance, but -20 dragon resistance. As far as I know all his attacks are fire element, but I thought I read somewhere it also has dragon element? Can someone confirm this.

I'd have to say White Fatalis as a White Fatalis is stronger then a regular Fatalis. No other monsters are capable of defeating a Fatalis as far as I know. Fatalis is as close to a god as you can get in the Monster Hunter franchise and it is even said that every living thing fears Fatalis.

Fatalis is a raw matchup, so his DB will do the most damage to him. In your elemental matchups, Kjarr Dragon and Alatreon would be better, BUT there's only one matchup IIRC where Dragon element...
