Father Dougal McGuire is a character in the Channel 4 sitcom Father Ted. Created by Arthur Mathews and Graham Linehan , Dougal was portrayed by comedian Ardal O'Hanlon for the programme's three series.

Dougal McGuire is one of the three priests living in the parochial house on Craggy Island, along with the greedy and vainglorious Ted Crilly and the violent and surly alcoholic Jack Hackett. He is the main deuteragonist in the sitcom, ‘Father Ted.’

Father Dougal McGuire, played by Ardal O'Hanlon, is a childlike, simple-minded Catholic priest exiled as punishment for "the Blackrock incident". Father Dougal McGuire is one of the three priests living on Craggy Island in Ireland and is the deuteragonist of Father Ted. He is played by Ardal O'Hanlon who also voiced Robbie in the Robbie the Reindeer films and Thermoman in Series 1-5 of My Hero.
