Oct 31, 2011 · The MS 250 weighs less than the PS-350, yet has 1 more HP. I'm sure Husky, Dolmar, Jonsered, et all, make some fine affordable non-pro home owner/firewood saws with a little more muscle then the PS-350.

Dec 16, 2015 · My 2008 Dolmar brochure lists the PS-350 powerhead at 9.0 lbs, and the PS-420 at 9.7 lbs. My 2010 Dolmar brochure lists the PS-350 powerhead at 10.6 lbs, and the PS-420 at 10.6 lbs How can this be? They both list identical specs other than the weight. What could have changed to add 1.6 lbs to a 35cc saw?

Sep 26, 2011 · So what is everybodies opinion on a Dolmar saw? Thinking about getting one but not sure about them or what size to get. I would like to get one with a 16 or 18 inch bar, will only be cutting smaller wood with this saw. I have a bigger saw for the big stuff. Thanks for any advice.

Aug 24, 2010 · It isn't great on the 420 either, but much better - same weight as the 350, but 2.7hp. The Husky 440 also is an option worth looking at - plastic case like the 45, but a much better design, at least regarding looks and weight.

Dec 23, 2013 · I have been wanting to put my 350 on the bench and mod the muffler as well but I notice the High side of the carb is blocked off!! Did your 350 have the High side blocked?

May 19, 2010 · I was just looking around for info about the Dolmar PS-420 and found a link to the 2011 Dolmar catalog. It lists the PS-350 SC and PS-420 SC along with a line stating (in German) "Now with even more power". The specs for the PS-350 SC is 1.7 kW / 2.3 hp and the PS-420 SC is 2.2 kW / 3.0 hp.

May 12, 2010 · Btw, the Dolmar 420/350 has been out fore some years, and are not new models. The 350 is seriously overweight for its power, but those saws have magnesium cases and are almost built to pro standard - while the MS211 is a pure homeowner class saw with a plastic case.

Aug 12, 2024 · Saw runs pretty well with the new bar. I went with the LP so I could keep same drive sprocket. For a 35cc saw it seems to pull it fine on limbs. No big wood yet.

I came close to buying a Dolmar 401, but they have midget gas and oil caps, funky chain adjuster and the outboard clutch. And I am tired of :censored:ing around with the Stihl 210 saw, and nothing on the low end has ever...

Dec 8, 2008 · Yes the stihl will beat the Dolmar 350 but it is pretty close usually and the stihl is a 45cc saw and the Dolmar 350 is a 35cc saw! The 420 that I have has been beating the ms250's.
