Heat 2 cups of broth in a pan. Add flour mixture slowly, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened. If its to thick add a little more water.

It sort of adds a "lubricating and cushioning" type layer, so perhaps all that is what you are experiencing. Certainly a healthy dog has a nice elastic skin, so you must be headed in the right direction!

Ever try flirt pole,the first time my dog did it he was a clumsy doof and hurt himself but he got better at it,and hasn't hurt himself sense. He also developed more muscle and became more agile and graceful.
