A Guide to Magical Tattoos (v4) : r/UnearthedArcana - Reddit
May 17, 2018 · I actually just implemented magical tattoos and tattoo kit proficiencies and stuff into my game. (borrowing some spells from Lost Spells by Frog God Games) to make it a profession and a magical tool set for play. I have 4 chapters written about tattoos in the Tome i've gifted the players, with room for more "research". This perfectly fills the ...
A Guide to Magical Tattoos (v 1.0) : r/UnearthedArcana - Reddit
One thing I noticed is that there is no increased ink consumption between simple/average/ornate tattoos. Would you consider some additional multiplier for that (i.e. simple 1x, average 1.5x, ornate 2x) the amount of ink listed for a location? Would also give an additional way to balance strong tattoos, such as the tattoos of (major) protection.
Magic Tattoo pricing (Tasha's Cauldron) : r/DnD - Reddit
Aug 13, 2021 · has someone (preferable using the list from Dm's guild) put a price on these tattoos and could share them? for example weapon +1 = 500, weapon + 2 = 2500, immovable rod = 500, wand of polymorph = 21000, ring of the ram = 4000 and so on...
Magical Tattoos - A DM's Cost Structure for 5e : r/dndnext - Reddit
Jan 15, 2021 · Looking at Sane Magical Prices and the effects of some tattoos, I think very rare tattoos should be 6000 rather than 2000. One very rare tattoo gives resistance to a damage type, which is the same effect exactly as a ring or armor of resistance, which costs 6000 gp per SMP. Also, 5000 gold is extremely cheap for legendary items.
Tattoos leave me with more questions than answers
Nov 17, 2020 · After reading the text, I am 100% inclined to think that the RAI of the coverage table is to limit the number of tattoos you can have. Tattoos, like any worn item (and most magic items), can only be used if you can hold, wield, or wear it.
Extended Magic Tattoos (common) : r/dndnext - Reddit
Jun 3, 2020 · These follow the same attunement rules as the Magic Tattoos UA. I would love to get Reddit's opinion on the flavor, power, and balance of these tattoos before I implement them in the game! Abyssal Whip Tattoo (common) This tattoo depicts snaking tendrils. As a bonus action, you can empower the tattoo for 1 minute.
Are the goliaths markings tattoos, or something else? : r/DnD
Dec 19, 2020 · Additionally, they actually view tattoos and piercings as borderline heretical due to their belief that the natural markings give an insight into the bearer's destiny and by artificially changing then, you are trying to go against the will of the Goliath gods. But if you don't care about canon, it's whatever you want it to be.
Is There A Limit To How Many Spellwrought Tattoos A Character
Dec 17, 2022 · Making a ruling that tattoos can't overlap is totally reasonable for a DM to do. But that would be a ruling. There's nothing saying tattoos must not overlap, so the only limit to how many spellwrought tattoos can be on a character is the number of spellwrought tattoos the DM makes available.
Are a goliath's stripes tattoos or natural markings? : r/dndnext
I'm in the process of creating a goliath character who lives outside of goliath culture, and I'm wondering if he would have these markings or not. Are they natural stripes, like a zebra's, or are they tattoos with some cultural significance? Volo's Guide doesn't say anything about them either way. Or maybe this is just up to player interpretation.
