Mar 10, 2023 · I would definitely recommend the original Digimon Adventure. 2020 had its moments but on the whole was an entirely bad show, with only glimpses of good animation. While the original wasn’t perfect, it did have a strong cast with good character growth and some interesting arcs.

The new DigiDestined fight an uphill battle, with their crests scattered, only surviving support-Gennai old/crippled due to a black-sphere shaped attack by the Dark Master Piedmon, and worst of all their only Homeostasis-conductive member off sick so they have no idea what's going on.
