May 15, 2009 · My wife has recently been put on Depakote for her tonic-clonic seizures. She started on 500mg at night, but had another seizure after about a week. She then was raised up to 500mg twice daily (morning/night) and her levels were much better after the last blood test. She's been on the twice daily dose for about 2 weeks now.

With the Tegretol and Lamictal she also got swollen lips a day or so after the rash started. So far no swollen lips but that may still be to come.
