Which means that hiding from a Deogen it would be a bad idea even if you aren't sure if you are dealing with a Deogen just yet.

Deogen counters players that compulsively hide or just hide by default.(when I first started playing I lived in closets, thankfully deogen wasn't a thing) Like people said, Deogen are ment to be kited. There are ghosts that are meant to counter typical player/ghost behavior to screw with player expectations. Thats what makes this game so much fun.

Jun 27, 2022 · The Deogen. Is the Deogen the ultimate noob killer? My instinct reaction whenever a hunt/ghost event happens is to just run, hide and pray. I don't have the knowledge and skill yet to tell the type of ghost too fast and to tell if it's hunt or ghost event, so this "strategy" usually works. But vs Deogen, what am I supposed to do?

If down to those 2, try to test for the Deogen's unique breathy spirit box response but also consider having someone watch the sanity of someone who got a spirit box response and is in a lit room/holding a ...

The deogen physically can’t catch you as long as you keep moving. You might be in trouble if you don’t have any loopable areas nearby. If that happens, stay close to make it move as slow as possible and slowly walk away from it to try and get the hunt to end before it can catch you.

Aug 17, 2022 · Unless I’m reading several wrong definitions of what a glottal stop is, not at all. A glottal stop is cutting off a sound by closing the airway, like when people with cockney accents pronounce better by skipping the t sounds and just chopping the beh sound off, like “Beh’er”

Aug 15, 2022 · Immediately know its a Deogen, but wanted to get some secondary objectives so we forced a hunt with the music box and hid again in the same spot. Ghost again found us immediately, full sprint speed. Despite the hunting above 50%, we mark it Deogen and leave (3 minute total hunt).

Sep 26, 2023 · Deogen (Spirit box)- If you are atleast 1 meter away from deogen while talking trough spirit box, deogen has 25% of chance of responding with unique "Heavy breathing" response (think of it as banshee scream trough parabolic) Goryo (D.O.T.S. Projector)- Goryos D.O.T.S. can only be seen trough video camera and MAYBE photo camera (not sure tho)
