Jul 14, 2024 · Between the 1930s and 1950s Dekko Cameras Ltd produced a range of cine cameras for civilian application. Dekko manufactured some cameras suitable for recording missile approaches, such as the Dekko GW 1. In addition, Dekko produced a range of projectors for 8mm, 9.5mm and 16mm format.

Dekko produced only three movie cameras: two utilizing a 9,5mm film and the third a 8mm film. The first was the Dekko Standard Model (it is mine), produced in 1934, equipped with a lens Taylor Hobson f:2,5 23mm.

Here are the Art Deco Dekko cameras in my collection with date of introduction and film type. I use a star system to rate cameras against their Art Deco credentials.
