Dec 24, 2004 · One of my favourite conversions is a Defender 90 body onto an unmodified 100" chassis. The wheels are right on the corners so you can practically drive up to a vertical brick wall, hook on the winch, and climb right over it.

Jun 25, 2019 · A 130 hi cap tub and defender cab fit perfectly on a 100” discovery chassis, just needs a frame to pick up on the body mounts to avoid any cutting of the chassis at all.

Apr 18, 2010 · To avoid the Q plate you need to avoid major chassis mods. From what I have seen, moving engine mounts or changing a crossmember doesn't count as the above. I think inserting or removing 10" would. I would start with a Disco or Range Rover with a good chassis and go from there. But then starting with a disco/RRC leaves you with a massive overhang..

Jan 13, 2011 · It's essentially a 90 chassis but stretched 7.1" behind the rear bulkhead. Richards do offer a few options with their 100" chassis, king cab, over hang lengths (90 or 110), engine type, etc.

Jul 12, 2015 · I have a 100 inch defender built about 6 years ago, new heavy duty galvanised chassis, galvanised bulkhead, and many other steel parts galvanised, discovery 2 axles, 2.8 tgv tdi, 90 tub so better seating in front, and easy to replace if needed, wolf cage and wolf hardtop for winter, everything beefed up from axles to gearbox, etc, with Ashcroft ...

Jan 13, 2011 · To fit the Defender bodywork you'll need to replace the Disco/RRC outriggers for those off a Defender, along with rear crossmember modification (ie: replacement rear crossmember from a defender welded on) along with any other body mounting points.
