Can an arrow have AutoShape defaults independent of a line, i.e. "Set as Default Arrow"? My problem: I am working with PowerPoint 2007. I want all my arrows to appear with a specific arrow head style and arrow head size.

Set the arrow style up as you like it and set it as the default. Now if you want to draw an arrow DON'T use the arrow, use the line shape instead. It will draw arrows for you.
