In order to fight this problem from all fronts, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Heroin Enforcement Action Team (HEAT). HEAT is an enforcement initiative developed by DEA’s Phoenix Field Division to tackle the evolving opioid epidemic at every level.

DEA is committed to tackling the nationwide drug overdose and poisoning crisis that is driven by criminal drug networks. This work includes a critical focus on outreach, prevention, engagement, and education with law enforcement partners and communities across the nation.
