Mar 24, 2023 · Following the logic of those games, you could argue that since 0.63 we've already been playing DayZ 2, and that any further engine changes would put us in DayZ 3. I'm pretty sure when people talk about DayZ 2 at this point they just mean "DayZ on the full enfusion engine" which does sound great in theory, without knowing exactly what we'd gain ...

Jan 22, 2022 · Hey, now that the new engine is ready and looks pretty great i was thinking if Dayz 2 might be coming in the future. The current playercount and overall sales are would definately make it worth the effort. With the finished engine and all the experiences from developing Dayz it seems like it could turn out great. What do you think?

Jun 27, 2023 · For DayZ 2 to make sense it has to feature things that DayZ currently doesn't have - like bicycles, motorbikes, helicopters, boats, planes, dragging bodies, towing... Underlying technologies for these features don't even exist in Arma Reforger yet and Reforger is still very limited in scope compared to Arma 3. All of those things are years away ...

As I said above, DayZ is the kind of game that gives you back what you put into it. If you have a short attention span, it's definitely not for you. Also, since you don't have much time to play, you wouldn't be able to get full enjoyment. In DayZ the lows are low and the highs are very high.

Jul 26, 2023 · I commented on another post regarding DayZ 2.0 and it prompted me to search the sub to see if there was any further info available but I couldn't see anything at all. So here's what we know so far. "Bohemia Interactive is apparently working on a sequel to DayZ, according to a new court document."

Bit of a misunderstanding. Wasn't gunning for the Devs.The frankly painful growth of standalone has been a long and arduous task on thier end. Its Bohemia's ball dropping that annoys me and I can totally see them pulling a fast one and just letting the reforger z mod(s) "bug test" before the real chaps get to have a crack at dayz 2 proper ...

DayZ can only be a success if it's DayZ 1.5 If they touch too much you have just another survival Zombie shooter like you have 20 out already. Just slight improvements with better graphics and some events getting animated should do the job.
