Ara Warkes Darzi, Baron Darzi of Denham (Armenian: Արա Վարդգես Դարզի; born 7 May 1960) is an Armenian-British surgeon, academic, and politician.

The word Darzi (दर्ज़ी درزی) literally means business of tailor. The Darzi claim descent from Idris ( Enoch ), one of the Biblical and Koranic prophets. According to their traditions, Idris was the first person to learn the art of sewing.

Darzi is a British heritage fashion brand dedicated to the design and production of sustainably sourced and beautifully made men’s outerwear and accessories. Key specialisms include men’s wool waistcoats and gilets, shirting and knitwear.
