The dark fog can be divided into three categories: ground (planetary bases), orbit (relay stations), and space (hive). It also requires two resources to operate: matter and energy. Planetary bases and hives will build up threat level, once it reaches 100% they will attack you.

Try max dark fog settings and let me know how that works out for you. Just managed to beat dark fog with max settings, which is literally 4x 180 units every 30-40 seconds. I'm wanting to do this with sparse resource next for juicy 3000% meta data.

Dec 23, 2023 · I have 1600 hrs in the pre-Dark Fog game. First Dark Fog game I played passive and stopped at white cubes. Ground bases are really easy. Space hives are nearly impossible. But it was a good introduction to the mechanics and the new weapon systems. ie new buildings, ships and ammo.

Dec 19, 2023 · Dark Fog Communicator is a unique satellite which allows for communication with Dark Fog, the main opponent in the game. Thanks to it, you can negotiate truce between you and the enemy. On the other hand, it is possible to make it even more aggressive or less , if you want.

The Dark Fog are the enemies faced by the player in combat, such as using Missile Turrets, guns, drones, lasers, and space fighters. They are capable of self replication. They were added in the "Rise of the Dark Fog" update on December 2023.

Dec 15, 2023 · it says in the recent update releases. Yes you do need to start a new game to have dark fog in game and receive any of the new update systems. however old saves are also still playable.
