Jul 18, 2023 · I think there is an issue with the performance profile for the Diamond DA40NG in ForeFlight. Specifically, the TAS used for descent phase (everything after -TOD-) in the Navlog seems to be around 70-75 kts all the way down from top of descent.

May 10, 2019 · DA40 is a really nice flying airplane and a great trainer. The center stick is great but it makes the cockpit a little cramped. I can wear a small knee board but need to stow my iPad in the pocket next to my left leg (I’m 6’3 and wouldn’t want to be any taller in the DA40).

Dec 27, 2018 · Didn't like the free-castering nosewheel at first, but it's also easy to get used to. I don't have any issues with the seats or sight picture, but I probably fit the primary physical profile the airplane was designed around (6' and 175 lbs).
