Aug 3, 2017 · We are using AutoCAD 2018. When we have to cut signage we explode text, clean it up extensively, apply a burn path then generate G-Code for the machines. Well when you explode a font it is converted to lines only, cleaning them up takes too much time. Does anyone know of an inexpensive program that I can export smooth vectorized fonts as a .dxf?

Aug 14, 2023 · The DXF files are started from a "No template" drawing (pure AutoCAD). There is no option to set the text style or font. The text style is "Standard" and the font "txt.shx", hard-coded. What you could do is change the font of the "Standard" text style after generating the DXF file. Then it is saved inside the file.

Sep 21, 2016 · This will embed all the text into the PDF but will not be searchable. Certain fonts do not always behave properly if you just use the Capture fonts used in the drawing button. (SHX fonts are not searchable and fonts that are Licensed sometimes get blocked. Poorly constructed fonts will also misbehave)
