Sep 10, 2021 · DXe, or DX5e? The DXe was a 7 channel I believe and is only compatible with DSMX receivers, while the DX5e came in both DSM2 and DSMX versions. The DX5e DSM2 version is compatible with all Spektrum receivers (but will operate DSMX receivers in DSM2), while the DX5e DSMX version is only compatible with DSM2 and DSMX receivers.

Jul 3, 2016 · The DX5e has no model memory so it will bind to only one device at a time. Change receivers, its a new configuration. The manual for the DX5e should explain about setting up a buddy box. It has to be connected via a cable and the DX5e can either be the master meaning its electronics control the plane or it can be a slave to another master radio.

Sep 1, 2009 · I've successfully buddy boxed DX5e, DX6i and DX7 with JR S400 (Quattro) and a mono audio cable. The buddy box MUST have a charged battery. When the cable is plugged into the buddy box and master radio their stick encoders automatically turn on.

Feb 15, 2010 · DX5e is air base TX and will ONLY work with air RX. So for best bang for the $$$ then the AR500 is your best bet. The DX3.0 S or R and DSM2 radio work with any DSM2 RX as long as they are ground or air respective.

Aug 29, 2019 · spektrum dx5e is a transmitter. If your rcvr is bad, the transmitter is probably good. As I said in your other thread, very similar, so you are just reposting the same stuff, the 5e has limited capabilities.

A USB dongle of some sort is required.
