Many games will open with DX12 by default, but DX11 is still in your computer, and both versions of the protocol exist simultaneously, you don't need to uninstall one from the other. Aug 22, 2024 · Particularly as AMD gpu's do not currently have the DX12 Ultimate option. My understanding is that DX12 Ultimate is available on RTX 2000\3000 Super and Ti (starting with RTX2080 Ti ) models, but not the standard RTX2000\3000 models. Nvidia gpu's that are DX12 Ultimate capable with show Feature Level 12_2 in the dxdiag Display tab.
