When it does, the DWM.exe is started again and starts at 1GB of memory and then starts the climb to 3.5GB again before resetting everything. Oct 31, 2019 · So I started reading up on this dwm-1 and from what I can tell the desktop windows manager (dwm) has a lot of responsibilities when a computer is being used and it is a way for the dwm to differentiate between the services it provides. DWM.exe is the parent and DWM-1, 2, 3, and so on are the children.

Apr 10, 2022 · I also see dwm using more than 10-15% of CPU and GPU. I've done almost everythnig I found on web such as updating drivers or something but nothing's changed. PLEASE don't write about scanning for viruses, buying new memory and etc. I need real help and want to improve performance of my pc.

Apr 17, 2013 · dwm is related to display of windows, so I guess it's something related to programs that have notification windows. Strange though, I have AVG and the problem doesn't happen with it for me, only with Setpoint (or maybe it's the combination, I'll do more tests).

Jul 24, 2023 · Things I've tried: Reseating the card and changing slots, Ran a memory test, Ran DISM and SFCScan(First SFC Scan came back saying it fixed some stuff), Ive tried turning off a lot of the DWM effects, and tried installing windows 11 to see if hopefully that would help.

Aug 9, 2022 · I'm having the same problem with DWM crash only by playing 2 specific games (both with controller, cabled or via bluetooth) The games are Signalis and Rocket league. For the first game the screen goes black for 2 secs and the game crashes, for the second game i'm forced to reboot the pc because windows completely freezes.

Eu possuo apenas 8GB de memoria ram, e quando o DWM começa a pesar muito, o processador começa a esquentar , chegando a um ponto de fechar o jogo automaticamente porque a temperatura do processador chega a 90 Graus Celsius. E um detalhe, eu não consigo ver o processo DWM.exe no gerenciador de tarefas, eu vejo apenas no monitor de desempenho.
