Feb 8, 2018 · Now, I currently have radeon r5 230, which has vga, dvi, hdmi port, and didn't have any problems with it. Two days ago, windows 10 did an update again. After that, windows only detects vga port, and rolling back the driver doesn't do the trick anymore.

Jul 8, 2022 · It feels like the computer is sending signals to the monitor, but the monitor can not decode the signals to display on the monitor. I suspect a driver issue, I have tried everything to update the driver, but had no luck. I am now suspecting that windows 11 does not work with DVI-D connection anymore.

The first is a standard VGA port (which you might have connected to) and the second is a DVI port. If you are using VGA port, there will be a Menu button on the monitor and you'll need to look for the setting that defaults the input to VGA. (If you have the manual that will make it a bit easier).

Jun 8, 2023 · I've reinstalled windows recently and changed the monitor. PC used to work with Display Port or HDMI and card also has DVI. Now no port (neither in graphics card or motherboard) besides DVI has video output. When plugging something into Graphics Card HDMI, Nvidia Control panel sees the monitor but as a DVI connection.

Jun 20, 2017 · HDMI works fine. I have updated Windows, I have updated Bios, I have purchased a new DVI-d cable, all with the same results. I tried using a different monitor and had the same issues. HDMI works fine, but DVI-d does not. If it was a bad GPU DVI-d output, then it should not show Bios. The same logic applies to the monitor DVI-d input.

Feb 4, 2022 · A little context, I am setting up my coworkers new monitors but their computer only has 1 VGS port 1 DVi Port and a COMPACT port. I was able to set up one monitor with a VGA connection but the second monitor is the issue. I was able to connect the monitor to the computer using a USB to VGA adapter.

Jan 6, 2021 · The issue is that a laptop with an HDMI port fails to recognise a Dell monitor connected via either an HDMI/DVI cable or an HDMI/HDMI cable plus HDMI/DVI adapter. This has worked for over a year but recent Windows updates seem to have broken this and now only monitors directly corrected via an HDMI port are recognised.

Jun 29, 2015 · Everything was working perfectly until this morning. Now the computer is perpetually connecting and then disconnecting to the DVI monitor. Both monitors work fine by themselves but as soon as both are hooked up to the PC the DVI connecting/disconnecting cycle restarts (about a second between each connect and disconnect).
