Mar 25, 2025 · dsi xl vs. 3ds xl for ds games screen-- dsi is brighter, sharper, and has better colors for ds games sound-- dsi is much louder, no comparison. gameplay -- dsi has a far better d button placement, and the buttons click. weight -- dsi xl is lighter, especially the top screen, making it much easier to hold and balance.

Feb 26, 2025 · The DS lite is a choice for many. DSi does not increase resolution which can make the screen look a bit blocky to some but it does have some nice homebrew options these days without needing a flash cart (though I still suggest a good flash cart).

Mar 25, 2025 · As others have said, the DSi stylus is slightly longer; it also has a slightly shorter "hump" at the end. However... the stylus slot in the DSi has an opening long enough to accept a DS Lite stylus. So, if you've got a quantity of DS Lite styli, you can safely insert them into a DSi, but not vice versa.
