Jan 2, 2017 · I made a homemade mace bell from a 48 inch piece of pre-threaded 1" steel pipe. The unloaded mace weighs 8.5 lbs and provides plenty of leverage for my warmup without any plates. The part that holds the plates is made from a 1.5" to 1" reducer, a 1.5" nipple (2.5" length) and a 1.5" end cap.

The handle is from a single 6m Class B 32mm steel pipe. Class B means thicker pipe walls, so heavier pipe. It cost around €16. We cut it ourselves in six 80cm pieces.
