The de Havilland Aircraft Museum is located next to Salisbury Hall in the Hertfordshire countryside just off Junction 22, M25 on the B556. The Museum is outside the ULEZ zone. The de Havilland Aircraft Museum has qualified for Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame from TripAdvisor because the Museum has earned a Certificate of Excellence every year since 2016. The Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence was awarded to the de Havilland Aircraft Museum in recognition for Excellence in Hospitality.

The FAW. Mk.2 of 1962 introduced GEC AI Mk. 18 radar, new electronics, and was armed with the DH Red Top missile. Increased fuel and avionics for the Red Top missiles were carried in enlarged tail booms extended forward of the wings.

The recognition distinguishes the Museum from other attractions and gives visitors more reason to choose the de Havilland Aircraft Museum.

The C.24 was the only rotorcraft built by de Havilland, and only this one example was built. It was acquired by the Science Museum in 1974, and is now on permanent loan to this museum. The engine is the original, but the twisted slab propeller is not.

On Display at the Museum: The Museum’s FB.VI TA122 was one of the relatively small numbers of variants built at Hatfield. It was taken on charge at 44MU on 10th March 1945 and issued to 49 ARF.
