Dec 19, 2022 · A DD Form 2708 is a U.S. Department of Defense form that must be completed and signed by military personnel in order to document the receipt of a prisoner or detainee prior to trial, or after conviction.

The following forms have been superseded by the above DD eForm 2648, and are no longer utilized to document a Service member's separation. DD Form 2648 - Active Duty Pre-Separation Checklist

through use of DD 2708, Receipt for Inmate or Detained Person. A new DD 2707 Confinement Order is not required, unless there has be a change in the prisoner's sentence status prior to transfer.
