Sep 16, 2019 · DCT usually came on 335is models and you would know by having the newer style shifter. Too much to list. PSP 750ic / Fuel-It! Stage 1 / BMS CP / Sutphin Tuning / RFP E50. Having the DCT myself, and as a first time DC owner, you would definitely know. It shifts so much faster than any auto I've ever owned.

Jun 9, 2015 · A tuned 335i (n54) will have considerably more (+30%) so the fact the M3 shares the same gearbox wont be much help. The M3 also doesnt bring in its torque til much later, so it will be much easier on the gearbox, whereas the n54 will shock it quite early in the range.

I drive a 2008 335i with sport package and one of my friends was telling me about his 2009 335i that has DCT and launch control. I was wondering if my car had it also. I know they made it in 09 but I'm not sure about 08.

Oct 25, 2024 · I'm not sure if a lot of DCT owners are aware of this or if there is a thread on this topic so I apologize, but recently in the beginning of July XHP finally released a DCT software. I think it's a bit pricey, but were able to adjust the RPM for launch control, shifts are quicker like the M3 GTS on their stage 3 flash, etc, etc.

Dec 26, 2017 · I'm just looking for some feedback from 335is owners about the car. I test drove it this weekend with the owner and found the driving experience intoxicating. The DCT is incredibly fast, the car sounds amazing and the overall feel was sublime.

Dec 27, 2011 · The 335is and the Z4 S-Drive35is have the same DCT hardware that the M3 does, though some of the programming (clutch slip and engagement time, if I had to guess) might be a little different for each car.

Apr 13, 2016 · The ZF transmission that the 335i uses is a 6 speed (6HP26 I believe) and shifts in less than 100 milliseconds if broken in properly according to ZF and has the capability to dump multiple gears at once. The DCT is higher revving and capable of launch control as well as everything the ZF can do.

Nov 24, 2008 · 335 automatic is just another run-of-the-mill slushbox. dct is a completely different transmission. you think you enjoyed "rev matching" in a 335, you'll have a completely different idea of what rev matching really is with dct.
