The 3D printed DC-6 is about 1/20 scale to the real plane. This airplane uses 4 2212 1400kv motors, has a 1.8m wingspan, and a RTF weight of 3,600grams. It flies just like the real airliner!

Jul 23, 2012 · First flown in 1946, the DC-6 along with the Lockheed Constellation have always been the iconic propliners of the airliner boom in the 50's and 60's. Unfortunately, there are no good Connie plans, kits or ARFs out there so I went with the Pat Tritle DC-6 short kit.

Nov 19, 2019 · I gained some helpful information from Bob Allen's P-3 Orion build thread as well as Payne9999 's 80" DC-6 build,which is helpful in construction of this 80; version of the Pat Tritle Douglas DC-6B. The second photo shows a good comparison between my 60" DC-6B and the 80" enlarged version.

One year of planning and investigations brought a huge variety of material, espacially 6,000 pages of orginal Douglas Manuals I bought over the internet. The idea is: 1:14,3 scale which gives a spanwidth of 2,5m (approx. 100").
