The DAF 33 is a compact saloon car produced by the DAF company of Eindhoven, in the Netherlands between 1967 and 1974. Outwardly and technically it differed little from its predecessor, the DAF Daffodil.

The DAF 33 was a direct development of the Daffodil, which was a small two-door sedan that seated four. Its power came from an air-cooled opposed Twin displacing 750-cubic centimetres and driving the rear wheels through the Variomatic automatic transmission.

Mechanically the 44 and 33 were nearly identical. The same drum brake set-up to all four wheels remained, as did the Variomatic transmission. The engine was a smaller version of the 2 cylinder 4 stroke boxer as used in the 44, offering a diminutive 746cc and developing 32 bhp @ 4200 rpm.
