Oct 16, 2017 · The Fatman MI-Tube2 is an integrated amplifier, meaning that it combines a preamplifier (the volume control and source selector switch) with a power amplifier (the valves). Just connect the DAB tuner to the Line1 or Line2 input. Make sure you get a DAB+ tuner. DAB is on the way out, or already is (e.g. over here in CH).

Aug 13, 2002 · I am considering adding a combined FM/DAB tuner to my setup. It looks to me that I need to connect as follows but I could be wrong. 1)FM simply connects to the Tuner on the stereo amp. 2)DAB connects to the AV amp by either; a)Optical to the MD recorder of the AV amp, or b)Coaxial input of CD on AV amp (not sure about this one).

Mar 26, 2024 · My old tangent DAB only tuner does however pick up BBC programs with my existing wi fi system. I have a DAB arial in the loft fed into to signal amplifier compatible with DAB which is networked throughout the house. My car radio sat on the drive also picks BBC and most other DAB signals. I have looked at everything but am stumped.

Sep 17, 2009 · Dad ended up with an acoustic solutions sp111 tuner, which while not the most expensive piece of kit picks up FM and DAB fairly well with the existing aerial and for under £50 you cant complain. - Ultimately, i cant see much point in spending £100's on a dab while there only broadcasting at 128bps or so.

Jan 1, 2009 · Even looking at this forum, which is rather quiet, shows the limited interest in DAB. However, it could be said that most technologies are dying, just at different rates. I would not let this put you off buy another Cambridge Audio DAB Tuner if this does what you want. It is likely that DAB will continue to be transmitted for many years to come.

Feb 14, 2004 · My DAB tuner is old enough to have received the tests at 256 and 224kbs and the sound was often superb. Now it lies in a heap behind the AV rack no longer in use. Not all of us old gits are deaf enough to enjoy the flat lifeless sound of a "Pure wooden box" nor so unfamiliar with quality sound to think it is good - or even good enough.
