Now to the bigger question, a lot of really, really bad plot decisions were made in the late '00s and early teens at WotC regarding DnD in general and the Realms in particular, which is probably why a lot of that era stuff doesn't really make much sense.

Jun 10, 2024 · The BBEG in my level 1-20 campaign was a debilitated version of the god Cyric. I homebrewed a statblock for him and it made for an incredibly fun combat! His Wheel of Fortune weapon was nerve-wracking for the players and his lair added a time-sensitive component.

I’ve been reading all the posts and playing the game looking closely at the lore. Being a complete clueless adventurer and new to DND lore, apparently Cyric may be involved with the dead 3 and in the epilogue Wither’s has some warning note with people suggesting Cyric may be involved.
